Verne Folkmann
Verne Folkmann is a native Iowan and has worked in sales his entire life. He founded Folkmann Feed and Grain and expanded the company for 28 years prior to becoming a REALTOR® in 2001.
As a REALTOR® and EcoBroker specializing in green real estate, Verne strives to make sure buying or selling a home is a positive experience for his clients. He has extensive knowledge of the current housing market and prides himself in providing excellent customer service. Verne’s designations include ASR (Accredited Seller Representative), CBR (Certified Buyer Representative) and e-Pro (certified internet professional). Verne is a certified EcoBroker and a National Association of REALTORS® Green Designee. Continuing education through these organizations ensures Verne is abreast of the latest developments in environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient homes. He has received many honors including the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® Gold Star Award (2006 and 2013), the Distinguished Service Award (2010, 2014 and 2020) and the Lifetime Achievement Award (2017).
A resident of Coralville since 1990, Verne is an active member of the community and enjoys volunteering. Verne is a Johnson County I-Club director, Hall of Fame ambassador and a member of the board of directors for The Arc of East Central Iowa. He has served as a Rotarian president and also as president of his church. Verne strives to be a positive influence on those around him.
Verne loves spending time with his family. Verne’s interests include Hawkeye sports, golfing and landscaping.
